Book a visit
Pick a day, pick a time window and send the form. A technician calls or texts to confirm the window, and the written estimate is agreed before any work begins.
Choose a day and a time window
The form below reaches the technicians directly. Sending it holds the slot while we confirm the exact hour with you by call or text.
- Four time windows, seven days a week
- Written estimate agreed before any work begins
- Springs replaced as a pair, the door rebalanced
- Answered any hour at (908) 774-2221
Book a visit
Choose a day and a time window. We call to confirm.
How a visit runs.
Four stages, the same on every job, from the confirmation call to the walk through at the door.
- Stage 01
The window is confirmed
We call or text to confirm the day and the four hour window, then again when the technician sets out, so you know the hour rather than the window.
- Stage 02
Inspection and written price
On arrival the technician runs the door, checks the springs, cables, rollers, tracks, opener and safety sensors, explains what failed and confirms the price with you before anything is taken apart.
- Stage 03
The repair
The door is secured and the failed part is replaced or repaired. Torsion springs go in as a matched pair wound with calibrated bars, and the door is rebalanced so it stays where you leave it.
- Stage 04
Test and walk through
The door is cycled, the photo eyes and the auto reverse are tested in front of you, and we go through the result before leaving. The work area is cleaned up and the old parts are taken away.
The four time windows.
Each window is four hours wide, or three in the middle of the day. Pick the one that suits the household and we narrow it to an hour on the confirmation call.
- 8am to 12pm
Morning
Best for an empty driveway before the working day, and for a door that has to close again before you leave for work.
- 12pm to 3pm
Midday
The shortest window. Suits a quick spring or roller job on a door that is easy to get to.
- 3pm to 6pm
Afternoon
Suits a household with children back from school, and leaves the afternoon for the auto reverse test and the walk through.
- 6pm to 9pm
Evening
For anyone who cannot be home during the day. We work by appointment at any hour, and evening calls are routine.
Requests are taken at any hour of the day or night. The visit itself falls inside one of these four windows unless you ask for something else.
What to prepare.
Nothing here is required, and none of it changes the price. It saves time on the day and it keeps the driveway and the garage safe to work in.
Access
Leave the car out of the bay the door needs worked on, and tell us whether the garage opens from the house, the alley or the street. If the door will not move, leave it exactly as it is; forcing it makes the job bigger.
Parking
A space near the garage for the truck is all we need. Permit blocks and narrow streets are ordinary in these towns, so tell us what parking looks like at your address and we plan the arrival around it.
People and pets
A spring job is loud when the old spring lets go, and the work area has to stay clear. Pets are safer away from the garage while the door is down, and children should not be in the work zone.
The door's history
Tell us what you already know: when the noise started, whether a spring was replaced before, whether the opener was moved or reprogrammed, and anything the last company said. It shortens the diagnosis.
Where we come to.
We cover Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Middlesex, Morris, Passaic, Somerset and Union counties, 228 towns in all. Every job is done at your home or business, at the door itself. There is no shop to visit and nothing to drop off.
Frequently asked questions
Question 1: How soon can you come?
Most visits are booked a day or two out, and slots open sooner when a job finishes early. If you need someone today, call and we will tell you what is still open. Springs, cables and rollers travel on the truck, so most common failures are covered on the first visit.
Question 2: What does the time window mean?
It is the four hour period the technician arrives in. We call or text before setting out, so on the day you know the hour rather than the window. A spring pair replacement usually takes one to two hours once the technician is in the garage.
Question 3: Does booking commit me to anything?
No. Requesting a visit costs nothing and holds you to nothing. The technician inspects the door, explains what failed and gives you the written price before any work begins, and you decide at that point.
